FAQ

Questions buyers usually ask before they commit.

The goal here is simple: remove the unknowns that slow down a download or a purchase decision.

Can I try BaseDeck before paying?
Yes. The Free Beta is fully available, so you can evaluate the desktop workflow, supported databases, and schema-aware AI setup before deciding whether to support the project.
Is Founding Supporter a subscription?
No. Founding Supporter is a one-time purchase with lifetime intro pricing.
What do I get as a supporter?
You get supporter status in the app, the lowest intro price, and the satisfaction of backing BaseDeck while it is still early.
Do I need my own Codex CLI or Claude Code setup?
Yes. BaseDeck integrates with local Codex CLI and Claude Code agents. It does not bundle its own hosted agent service.
Does BaseDeck send my database content to your servers?
BaseDeck is built as a desktop workspace, not a hosted database proxy. Saved credentials and schema context stay local, with encrypted persistence on macOS. Your exact data exposure still depends on how you configure the agent you choose to run.
Which databases are supported today?
Today BaseDeck supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, SQLite, TiDB, and Cloudflare D1.
Which desktop platforms does BaseDeck support?
BaseDeck supports macOS and Windows today. Linux can follow after that.
