Privacy

Small, understandable product statistics.

BaseDeck uses coarse download redirect and app activity statistics to understand which releases work and where the product is being used.

What is collected

Download redirect requests (download intent), a random installation identifier, first and most recent activity times, app version, operating system, CPU architecture, and country or state-level region derived by Cloudflare from the request's network exit.

What is not stored

BaseDeck product telemetry does not store raw IP addresses, hardware identifiers, host names, license keys, email addresses, database connection details, queries, or database contents.

Your control

Optional usage statistics are enabled by default and use a pseudonymous random installation identifier. You can disable them at any time in BaseDeck Preferences under Privacy. The same screen can reset the identifier. Disabling statistics does not affect product features.

Network processing

Cloudflare necessarily processes request IP addresses to deliver the website and API and to derive coarse geography. BaseDeck stores only the country and region fields described above, never the raw address in its telemetry tables. GitHub Releases serves the installation files after the BaseDeck download redirect and processes those file requests under GitHub's own privacy terms.

Contact feedback@basedeck.app for privacy questions. A random installation ID identifies an app installation, not a verified person.
